Brandon WordPress Kickoff
Meetup: Brandon & Riverview
Featured Speaker: Alphonso Montibello
This is the first Brandon WordPress Meetup. It will kickoff the series of monthly sessions that’s scheduled to occur on the second Monday of every month.
The first meetup is devoted to 2 topics:
1. Kickoff- Member Feedback
2. Presentation of the “Mapping of the Sales Process”
Kickoff – Member Feedback:
Our first priority is to gather our member’s feedback of need and contributions to improve the formation of our new meetup. This portion of the meetup will be an introduction of members, open discussion, a list of questions to be answered by the audience, to complete a simple questionnaire, get a list of topics for the subsequent meetups and get volunteers. We will attempt to gather as much requirements as possible from the audience. Although this challenge will be an ongoing effort for the first year of the meetup, the information obtained is vital for our planning.
Mapping of the Sales Process:
The second portion is a interactive presentation is about “Mapping of the Sales Process to Website Conversations” The focus of this presentation is to demonstrate the quality of website content and page storyboard flow through the website using site content, information organizational structure, links and the top menu.
Our objective is to publish website content with a purpose that will cause the visitors to take action to achieve an intended goal. This presentation looks at the sales process from the point-of-view of both the business and the potential customer and applies different website page flow scenarios that are mapped to the sales stages.
The presentation briefly discusses the verification of website page flow with Google Analytics and A/B Testing. We will also discuss using actual results of what’s happening to determine changes of the mapped sales steps, structure, and/or reworking pages. Our discussion will touch on measuring now, exploration, experimentation and future content evolution.
The objective of this presentation is to walk-away with a greater understanding of how to achieve intended action with a set of website pages.
