Class for Beginner or New to Divi
This meetup is geared for an audience with little or no knowledge about website design or WordPress. This session is conducted through an interactive discussion while performing a hands-on demonstration. The purpose of our hands-on demonstration is to build a new website from scratch using the Divi Theme from Elegant Themes.

Hands-on Class by Doing It!
This session will also include an introduction to WordPress by jumping right in using WordPress to build a new website. Our approach is to explain each action by using the WordPress menu functions while performing practical hands-on activities. The learning experience of this meetup is focus on Doing with an accompanied interactive discussion, instead of just presenting a PowerPoint slide lecture. More Doing and less lecture – interactive session.

1. Create a local development environment with Desktop Server
2. Create a simple WordPress Website
3. Walkthrough the WordPress Menu System
4. Installing the Divi Theme
5. Create a Child Theme
6. Install essential Plugins
7. Choosing and Using a Divi Library Layout
8. Customizing the Home Page
9. Customizing the layout Contact Page
10. Developing your own Library Template Page, LTP
11. Create your Website Pages using LTP
12. Backup local development website
13. Creative production environment with a cpanel
14. Import website into production environment
15. Demonstrate website operation

This session is one to two hours in duration depending on the amount of time devoted to interactive discussion and what topics we will cover in detail and the amount of Q & A. If all of the topics are not covered or the class wants to repeat or expound on some topics another session, I will provided several additional sessions if requested by audience.
